Primera Technology is now selling a duplication system for the DVD successor Blu-ray. The combined duplication and printing device is available at a price of 4,998 euros. According to the supplier, the “Disc Publisher XR Blu” can burn up to 50 of the new data carriers in one go.
Inside the housing is Pioneer’s current BDR-101 Blu-ray Disc/DVD burner. The burning software comes from Sonic. An integrated inkjet printer prints on the data carriers in the same operation.
The Disc Publisher XR Blu is based on Primera’s Disc Publisher family. The “XR” in the designation stands for “extra rugged” – extra sturdy: The bezel and housing are each made of steel. However, the device in 19-inch format can also be installed in any standard rack. It is connected by USB 2.0 to computers running Windows XP or Windows 2000.
