FastCut 2.5 RT from software manufacturer Times For Fun is a video editor for realtime processing. The software runs only under Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. As a Universal Binary, it supports both Intel and PowerPC Macs and is distinguished especially by its low price of 20 euros.

Version 2.5 brings a revised RT engine based on OpenGL and Apple’s Coreimage, offering both better support for HD editing and generally improved video quality. The update also fixes some minor bugs.

Fast Cut 2.5 RT dynamically regulates playback quality to achieve optimal performance; it also offers 3D motion and effect keyframe animation, as well as masking and keying. Transitions, effect filters and a title generator are also included.

Further information and a demo can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
