Eyeon Begins Limited Fusion Linux Release

Fusion for Linux enters selective release with Windows-equivalent rendering, plug-in compatibility and support for mixed-OS studios.

Eyeon Software has begun shipping Fusion for Linux. The application is based on Fusion 5.1 for Windows and was immediately available to selected customers.

Eyeon says the Linux edition offers performance and operation comparable with the Windows version and produces matching render results in mixed operating-system environments. It uses the same Fusion plug-ins and also supports Adobe After Effects plug-ins.

Because Linux distributions create varied technical and support requirements, Eyeon initially limited the release to selected studios and artists. The company had not announced pricing or general availability.
