DVS will focus on realtime 4K, DCI mastering with JPEG 2000 and a Linux version of its Spycer data manager at NAB, held from 16 to 19 April 2007 in Las Vegas.
The company plans to demonstrate Clipster, Pronto2K.2 and ProntoHD.2 turnkey systems, DVS SAN and Spycer using high-resolution film sequences. Updated SDKs will accompany its OEM boards so visitors can assess how the cards integrate with third-party systems.
A new Clipster feature set adds realtime zoom and pan, cropping and primary colour correction at 4K. The DI workstation also performs DCI mastering. Clipster can finalise and output JPEG 2000, the codec specified for digital cinema, in real time. It creates D-Cinema playlists directly in the timeline.
DVS will present Spycer for Linux for the first time at NAB 2007. New RAID controllers increase DVS SAN performance, according to the company. Integrated proxy servers add MPEG preview proxies and proxies for offline editing.
Updated SDKs for the OEM boards allow independent inputs and outputs to operate as separate audio and video streams. Centaurus II adds conversion to XYZ colour space and scaling. A new JPEG 2000 board decrypts and decompresses digital-cinema material in real time at SD, HD and 2K. It accepts RGB, YUV or XYZ data in MXF or JP2 files.
