Speedgrade DDS has a special module that automatically breaks down a large image sequence into individual shots based on the white flashes between the takes. It also offers the possibility of logging clips as well as sound and carrying out a basic colour correction. Secondary colour correction is not included in this version. Thanks to shot detection, it is no longer necessary to create a timeline, so the user can work with a single large clip.
The dailies can be output directly to tape in real time or rendered as films or image sequences, with the option of also superimposing various burn-ins or timcodes.
On the audio side, Speedgrade DDS supports, for example, downmixing to two stereo channels. The generated .Look files for grading can be used again later during final grading.
Iridas has not yet announced the price and release date.
