The highest bid goes entirely to WWF conservation projects. Whoever bids the most on http://www.ebay.de (under the category “Stars and Charity”) wins the bid and may speak a short sentence under professional guidance, which will then be heard in all cinemas and later on the DVD as well.
Dirk Barth, Head of Corporate Fundraising at WWF, initiated the Internet auction for RATATOUILLE: “With this auction, a long-cherished wish is coming true, because we want people to associate positive experiences with environmental protection and nature conservation – such as a visit to the cinema. The fact that with RATATOUILLE we can now even make someone a ‚film star’ is hopefully an additional incentive for as many people as possible to do something for the environment.”
The auction takes place between June 18 and 22. Dubbing then takes place from June 25 at the studio in Munich – the exact date will be arranged personally with the winner directly after receipt of payment. Anyone over the age of 18 can take part. Which sentence the winner will speak has not yet been determined.
