Di-O-Matic Plans Voice-O-Matic for Autodesk Maya and Softimage XSI

The Voice-O-Matic program has been used for Autodesk 3ds Max for over four years. Di-O-Matic is currently working on a version of Voice-O-Matic for Autodesk Maya and Softimage XSI.

According to the company, Voice-O-Matic enables believable lip synchronization and is used in the games industry, CG feature films, visual effects and commercials. Voice-O-Matic uses an intelligent Phonetic Engine for audio files and automatically assigns the correct phonemes. The software provides automatic synchronization for any character setup, for example for English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

Voice-O-Matic for Maya and XSI is in the final stage of development. However, an exact release date is not yet known. The price is expected to be around 349 US dollars.
