Tartan Video will release Paul Verhoeven’s war film Black Book and Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal on 27 August. The revenge thriller Oldboy will follow on 24 September. All three titles will make their worldwide Blu-ray debuts.
Tartan Video owner Hamish McAlpine said the decision was based on seven of the eight major studios having already selected Blu-ray. He considered the format war effectively over before it had properly begun.
