The German Association for Interactive Entertainment Software, BIU, and Leipziger Messe will present a transparent development studio at Games Convention for the first time. From 23 to 26 August, Hanover studio exDream entertainment will develop a computer game in the GC family hall, Hall 5, stand F40, giving visitors a view of typical game-development workflows.
The team will create a puzzle game resembling Tetris. Visitors can watch the four developers work from the initial idea and concept through programming and graphic design. The exDream team will also answer questions about the development process. “We only need four days to implement it, so visitors can watch the game grow on site. GC visitors can test the different versions of the puzzle game themselves as part of quality assurance in the transparent development studio,” said Boje Holtz of exDream.
The studio opens on Thursday, 23 August 2007.
