At the international conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques, “Image Deblurring with Blurred/Noisy Pairs”, a study by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in collaboration with Microsoft Research Asia, was named one of the event’s six most significant research projects. The study describes a method for producing a high-quality, sharp photograph by combining one blurred image with one noisy image.
The project is one of several that Microsoft is presenting at the conference. Microsoft submitted 14 of its own studies and contributed as a co-author to another 108. Eleven of the 14 Microsoft studies were written with academic partners. Through its participation in ACM and SIGGRAPH committees, the company shares its research with scientists.
