Halo 3 is supposedly to be made into a film. Speculation suggests that none other than star director Peter Jackson could be behind the project. Jackson became known through the films: The Lord of the Rings and King Kong. Whether the video game will make its way to the cinema has not yet been confirmed. Microsoft Games has so far announced only the release of the newest video game instalment. At the E3 games trade fair, September 26, 2007 was speculated about as the sales launch for Europe. The game already set standards in terms of graphics and sound with its predecessors Halo and Halo 2.
On the trading platform for used games Trade-a-Game.de, the first-person shooter Halo has long been cult and is considered one of the most-traded games. Since Halo and its sequel by developer Bungie and distributor Microsoft has been on the market, the series has sold a total of over 14.5 million times to date.
