Alchemist Ph.C HD brings Snell & Wilcox motion-compensation technology, designed to maintain smooth movement during frame-rate changes, to an HDTV processing platform. It performs motion-compensated cross-conversion between HDTV standards and high-quality up- and downconversion between HD and SD.
The standards converter is intended for broadcast as well as HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc mastering, converting an HD master into the required delivery format at high quality.
At GLS, Alchemist Ph.C HD complements existing HDCAM and HDCAM-SR systems, HDTV edit suites, and HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc mastering equipment.
