Blue builds on the familiar Boris user interface and is aimed primarily at video editors who want to create convincing 3D effects without having to contend with the steep learning curves of 3D applications and long render times.
New features include:
- Blue 2 can be used in Avid as an AVX2 plug-in on Windows XP Avid systems
- The plug-in has the same effect features as the standalone version,
including 2D and 3D text, importing 3D models, particle emitters
- Single or multi-input filters, real-time preview
Especially with tightly calculated deadlines or work in the presence of clients, Blue’s real-time preview, which relies on the GPU acceleration of Nvidia’s current graphics cards, pays off. Blue enables truly interactive work when creating 2D and 3D effects, with real-time playback of video and audio. Final rendering is also fast and takes into account settings for anti-aliasing, motion blur, and 3D shadows.
Blue 2 is available for 929 euros (incl. VAT); for owners of Boris RED, Blue costs only 279 euros (incl. VAT).
