Wacom released a glossy-black Intuos3 Special Edition in A5 Wide and A4 sizes to mark the company’s 25th anniversary.
The package included a matching Intuos3 Airbrush. Its fingerwheel provided 1,024 positions for controlling digital paint or effect strength and retained its last setting when released.
The tablet supplied eight programmable ExpressKeys, two Touch Strips, 5,080 dpi resolution and 1,024 pressure levels for the Grip Pen tip and eraser. It detected pen tilt up to 60 degrees and used Tool ID to recall settings for recognised input devices.
A new Display Toggle driver function switched tablet mapping between all monitors and individual screens. A pan-and-scroll command moved documents or images in the direction of pen travel.
Corel Painter Essentials was bundled and fully supported the Airbrush. Adobe Photoshop 7 or later and Corel Painter were also listed as compatible applications.
Recommended prices including VAT were €449.90 for A5 Wide and €559.90 for A4. Both carried a two-year warranty.
