THE INFORMERS takes the viewer on a journey through the seductive, bizarre and desolate Los Angeles of Ellis’ youth. The author paints the picture of a gentle apocalypse by interweaving seven stories, all of which take place within the same week in 1983: Studio bosses, rock stars, groupies, tanned teenagers, frustrated wives, vampires and everyone else of rank and name in L.A. move through the moral wasteland for which the literary chronicler is known.
