The popularity of OGame remains unbroken among German Internet gamers: The ranking is based on the average duration of visits to German gaming websites in minutes from May to July 2007. According to this, every German online gamer spent an average of 3.5 hours on the various gaming websites, which corresponds to an increase of 76 percent compared with 2004*.
The top places in the statistics are occupied by so-called Casual Games, which primarily offer short-term gaming fun for in between. In contrast, Gameforge focuses its online games on game depth and strategic thinking.
