Advertising Film: VDW AWARD 2007 Presented

Best productions honored at gala in Frankfurt/Main

The VDW AWARD 2007 for the best advertising film productions was presented on Saturday at a gala event in Frankfurt am Main. Honored as the most successful spots at the VDW AWARD 07 were “Strong Children” (Deutscher Caritasverbund e.V.) as well as “Warm-up Round” (Audi) and “The Race” (Mercedes Benz), which each received with “Hattos”.

Among the agencies, Jung von Matt with four and BBDO with three ‘Hattos’ were able to

score points. Honored with the prize endowed by ARRI for the best university advertising film

was the Greenpeace spot “Rainbow Warrior” by Johannes Kuemmel (director) and Ralf Noack (camera), both Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. For the sixth time, the VDW honored outstanding individual creative achievements in the production of advertising films. A total of 15 “Hattos” were awarded.

Organized by the Association of German Advertising Film Producers (VDW), more than 750 guests came to schauspielfrankfurt, including Hessian Minister of State Udo Corts and Frankfurt Mayor Jutta Ebeling. The gala was accompanied musically by the French band “Ultra Orange” and singer Emmanuelle Seigner as well as the Frankfurt formation “Oscar Canton Band”. “Ehrensenf” presenter Christine Henning and Roberto Cappelluti guided through the evening.
