The “Kaspersky Hosted Security Services” represent a novelty for the European market, allowing companies to place their e-mail and Internet security directly in the hands of Kaspersky Lab. The new product Kaspersky Anti-Virus for File Server Enterprise Edition rounds off the presentation of the enterprise solutions. At stand 501 in hall B3, distributors ectacom GmbH and Bitbone AG as well as Enterprise Solution Partners R. Bücker EDV-Beratung Datentechnik GmbH and CyProtect AG are represented as co-exhibitors.
„Market leadership in the retail sector in Germany is clear evidence of the quality of our products“, explains Andreas Lamm, Managing Director of Kaspersky Labs GmbH. „Our enterprise products, which we are presenting comprehensively at Systems this year, are also distinguished by quality and reliability. With Kaspersky Open Space Security and our new Kaspersky Hosted Security Services, we have solutions for companies of every size in our portfolio.”
With Kaspersky Hosted Security Services, Kaspersky Lab is introducing a non-product-based solution for the first time, one that has its strengths primarily in e-mail security. E-mails, but also Internet and instant messaging traffic, are redirected via Kaspersky Lab’s highly available data centers, cleaned there of viruses, spam and other unwanted content and then transmitted to the customer. The resulting delay in e-mail traffic is well under 30 seconds. The volume of data in the corporate network drops enormously, since spam mails – which account for up to 90 percent of e-mail traffic – no longer reach the company networks at all. Kaspersky Lab guarantees 100-percent protection against viruses for which the company already provides a signature, as well as a spam detection rate of more than 95 percent.
Kaspersky Hosted Security Services will be presented to the press on October 24 as part of a “Hosted Breakfast” starting at 10 a.m. From 5 p.m., Kaspersky Lab’s channel partners will receive detailed information at an exclusive launch event.
Under the name Kaspersky Open Space Security, Kaspersky Lab has also combined its software solutions for enterprise security this year. The complete product range will also be presented at Systems. In October 2007, the portfolio will be expanded with Kaspersky Anti-Virus for File Server Enterprise Edition.
