This further expands the cooperation between the two companies already announced in April of this year. Through the successful implementation of the project, Blyk can quickly develop and launch innovative advertising and consumer solutions.
“TietoEnator has already built a platform for us through which we can offer our customers reliable and innovative services. TietoEnator has thereby demonstrated its ability to implement complex requirements in the service sector. It was therefore only logical to expand our partnership. With TietoEnator’s scalable platform, we can further develop our service offering toward full end-to-end functionality and are able to focus fully on the core business: Offering free, advertising-funded mobile communication services for young people”, explained Turkka Oksanen, Head of Operations at Blyk.
Since the cooperation began in April of this year, TietoEnator has taken on ever more tasks for the successful market launch of Blyk’s offering. In addition to the provision of Business Service Solutions (as a service), the range of services now includes a broad range of services in the areas of software, process and infrastructure, including end-user portals, interfaces and biling solutions for value-added services (Value Added Services, VAS).
“We are pleased to be able to support Blyk in the market launch of pioneering mobile communication services. We are very proud of the trust placed in us and the important role we play in managing the technical solutions and business processes. This is further proof of our unique know-how in the rapid provision of integrated and cost-efficient solutions for MVNO service centers”, said Ari Vanhanen, head of the Telecom & Media business area at TietoEnator.
In order to be able to offer Blyk an optimal solution the TietoEnator business areas Telecom & Media, Processing & Network and Digital Innovations pooled their expertise. Responsible for the project was the TietoEnator MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) Service Centre, which focuses on development and integration as well as operation, application management and service support.
”Blyk is representative of a new age of service innovation. It is breathtaking what we have achieved together in such a short time: Both in user-oriented design, as well as in mobile technology and in integration into the back office systems. In many respects, this project sets standards for successful collaboration between business partners“, said Pekka Viljakainen, Executive President of TietoEnator Corporation and President of TietoEnator Digital Innovations
