Corel expanded its education programme with new classroom and student-use licensing options.
Corel License for Learning provided an annual site subscription for schools, colleges and universities. A single location could install four applications without a stated installation limit and receive current products and updates during the licence term.
Corel Transactional Licence offered volume licensing for one or more products, with volume measured by the number of computers permitted to run the software.
A new classroom licence covered one or more rooms in primary schools without a site subscription. Eligible products included CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Paint Shop Pro Photo, Painter and Ulead VideoStudio.
The student-use programme allowed institutions using CLL or CTL to distribute copies of selected graphics products for personal student use. Eligible users could also buy boxed education editions at discounts of up to 75 percent.
Covered software included CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Painter, Paint Shop Pro Photo, Ulead PhotoImpact, Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite, Ulead VideoStudio, WordPerfect Office, WinZip Pro and WinDVD.
