SYNCING:NET and MOBILITY-OFFICE cooperate

Berlin data-synchronization specialist SYNCING.NET Technologies GmbH and MOBILITY-OFFICE Solutions AG from Munich are concluding a cooperation agreement. With the partnership, the two providers make it possible to make data and programs available at any time and in any place. Together, the companies are further developing their technologies for mobile use and automatic synchronization of data.

As a first step, the synchronization of folders and files on USB sticks is planned. This allows employees, for example, not only to use and synchronize Word, Excel or PowerPoint files jointly with others, but also on the road on any computer with a Windows operating system and Internet access.

A further development stage will then also allow Outlook data on the USB stick to be synchronized with different computers. The SYNCING.NET for Outlook software already supports fully automatic synchronization of any Outlook folders between several computers via local networks or the Internet. Thus the

groupware functionalities of Outlook can be represented via a peer-to-peer network without a central server.

The mobilized SYNCING.NET for Outlook makes it easier especially for medium-sized companies to integrate both home workstations and sales staff into internal work processes. Thus, for example, teams can be assembled across companies, which can then work together on a project-related basis.

While complying with the highest security standards, the “office on the key ring” makes mobile teamwork easier, more flexible and, above all, even more independent of location. The proportion of mobile employees in companies has risen sharply in recent years. Many travel for work and work in changing locations. Instead of on notebooks, files and programs can be transported and used on commercially available USB- sticks.

Ultramobile users benefit from the combination of both technologies. Thus there is, for example, the possibility for all members of a team always to remain at the same level through automatic data synchronization, regardless of where the mobile office is currently “plugged in and opened”.
