The German showcase studio Crytek GmbH has licensed the successor to its CryENGINE middleware program since this summer and for the first time is also offering educational institutions the chance to have ambitious student projects implemented with the help of the developer-friendly tools.

“We thank the managements of Crytek for their willingness to make Your technology available for training purposes. Now our students will fill this license with life and interesting projects!” Thomas Dlugaiczyk, rector of Games Academy GmbH, is certain.

As the company from Frankfurt in Hesse reports, it is proud to be able to make a contribution to training the next generation of the industry: “We are pleased that Games Academy, as the first institution in Europe, has decided to use an education license for our CryENGINE2. In this way we actively support the training of promising industry talent and thus promote competence in handling top graphics technologies,” say Avni and Faruk Yerli, Managing Directors of Crytek GmbH.

CryENGINE2 will be used from the current winter semester 2007/2008.
