Sybase 365″, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), and the global market leader in the worldwide management and delivery of mobile content as well as provisioning and billing in the field of Mobile Messaging Interoperability, announces the activation of its new gateway for the delivery of multimedia- content. The gateway, called MMS 365, sends and receives MMS messages from a variety of sources, thereby enabling content providers, marketing and media companies to transmit MMS content directly to consumers’ mobile devices. The new gateway is distinguished in particular by the fact that it enables global content delivery via a single central connection.
“MMS technology will continue to be the preferred method for delivering rich media content,” Marty Beard, President of Sybase 365, is convinced. “Mobile advertising campaigns are developing into an increasingly important component of companies’ communication and marketing strategy; multimedia messages are a particularly effective instrument here because they involve the consumer in interactive campaigns.”
MMS 365 builds on Sybase 365’s global operator-grade network and, through its connection to more than 700 mobile operators, guarantees the successful delivery of complex content, the efficient management of large data volumes and the smooth delivery of content to consumers’ mobile devices. Millions of users can be reached via a single connection to the new MMS 365 gateway; this saves content providers the time and costs they previously had to spend on negotiations and connections with individual network operators.
MMS 365 supports all common types of rich content, including photos, graphics, audio, video, alerts, ringtones and wallpapers, so that content providers can decide for themselves which method is best suited to the campaign concerned.
