The Cologne system and consulting house S4M – Solutions for Media has made it into the final round of this year’s AIB Media Excellence Awards – with S4AdSales, a cross-media, highly integrated advertising-time sales system.
The Media Excellence Awards are presented by the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) for outstanding achievements in the areas of broadcasting and new media – and the nomination alone is already an award. Last year, around 100 candidates from more than 20 countries applied. An independent international commission of experts is currently deciding on the 2007 applicants – broadcasters, networks, system and consulting houses – and will announce the winners at the end of November as part of a gala event in London.
The S4AdSales software solution from S4M supports cross-media sales processes in real time. Advertising times can be managed and placed flexibly and transparently. The system makes it possible to serve customers in any number of countries: in different languages and currencies, within the framework of different forms of advertising and media types, on multiple continents. Agencies in turn have remote access to the booking system.
The high degree of integration is among the central benefits. A “spot optimization engine” ensures that the available inventory is always used optimally while all legal and customer-specific requirements are observed. In this way, commercials can be placed exactly for specific target groups – and the broadcaster can efficiently allocate and sell its advertising time. In addition, S4M has succeeded in drastically reducing the turnaround times for transferring offers to contract status – from several days to a few minutes. The S4AdSales advertising-time sales system is used by private and public-service broadcasters in Europe, Asia and North America.
