Present Wirelessly with Edimax. Integrated Access Point in the WP-S1000 Enables Multiple Use of a Projector

Edimax Technology (http://www.edimax-de.eu/), a leading manufacturer of network products and solutions, presents the WP-S1000, a new Wireless Projector Server. The device with integrated access point enables wireless data transmission to office projectors. Via a secured 802.11b/g network, the WP-S1000 transports files by radio, such as images or presentations, without connecting the laptop directly to the projector.

The WP-S1000 is extremely user-friendly and supports plug-and-play technology with automatic driver installation. This allows the user to gain wireless access to the projector with one click. Control of the projector can also be transferred from one user to the next. Via its VGA interface, the WP-S1000 is compatible with all projector types. It offers convenient features such as the “Plug-and-Show” function, which installs and configures software directly and without clicking icons, or a web-based user interface.

The WP-S1000 supports the video playback function of common video formats such as MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 in real time. To protect the presentation content, the device also has dynamic login codes (Session Login Codes) and WEP64/128bit encryption.

The WP-S1000 will be available from specialist retailers from mid-January for 229.50 euros (recommended retail price including VAT).
