“Technology is the key”, says Yvo de Boer, Executive Secretary of the UN Climate Secretariat (UNFCCC), in an interview with Energy1.TV on solving the global challenges of environmental protection and security of energy supply. Broad information offering shows usable alternatives. With more than 500 audio and video contributions, the Internet TV channel and multimedia knowledge platform Energy1.TV® is now launching at http://www.Energy1.TV / http://www.Energy1TV.com. Presented in the portal area are interviews with decision-makers, officials and federal politicians from all parties, information clips, image films and background information, as well as trade-fair reports on the topics: renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, hydrogen & fuel cells, building technology and sustainable mobility.

In the “Conference” section, the offering is supplemented by well-researched specialist contributions, recordings and in-house productions, including on the historic “Renewables 2004” world conference, the EU report on the effects of rising energy prices, plenary sessions in the Bundestag and speeches by members of parliament and federal ministers on the subject of energy. Recordings of business congresses and workshops are also published, for example on “Bioenergy and Green Raw Materials”, “Solar Energy in East Asia’07” and “Innovative Energy Projects”.

Ecological Innovations by Means of International Information

“The objective is to present the latest state of technology, best practice and the latest developments in ecological energy generation from new and renewable sources, decentralised supply and increasing energy efficiency to a broad public in multimedia form, in order to bring them into people’s awareness and into economic application”, explains Reiner W. Schwerdtfeger, managing director of Creventis Services, regarding the multimedia project.

“Energy1.TV serves as web TV, technology platform and innovation engine. In this way, we promote both science and research as well as international education and the dissemination of knowledge about existing and ready-to-use techniques and technologies for securing local and global environmentally friendly energy supply”, Schwerdtfeger continues.
