With a luminous intensity of 3,700 – 5,000 ANSI lumens, a maximum projection distance of 86 metres, XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and a contrast ratio of 600:1, the devices master even the most demanding presentation environments. The picture-in-picture function (PIP) also makes it possible to feed in a second parallel signal source. The new Silicon Optix chip used supports HQV(tm) (High Quality Video) and thus achieves the highest image quality.
Present professionally – without additional software installation or admin rights – the new NEC projectors in the NP series fulfil this wish. Once connected, the “Windows Network Projector” application integrated into Windows Vista immediately puts the NEC NP1150/2150/3150 into presentation mode; a WLAN presentation without annoying cables can thus be realised quickly and easily. An additional WLAN card is no longer necessary, because the NEC NP series already has built-in wireless functionality via the USB interface.
The NEC NP1150/2150/3150 LCD projectors are ideally suited for use in large, bright meeting rooms, at the point of sale, at trade fairs and concerts, and in lecture halls at universities or other educational institutions. With the five optionally usable interchangeable lenses with bayonet mount, projection distances of up to 86 metres can be realised. The high luminous intensity of up to 5,000 ANSI lumens, XGA resolution and the contrast ratio of 600:1, as well as extensive adjustment and control options, enable brilliant, colour-accurate projections. All these features make the new NP series an ideal presentation device for AV professionals.
Present Remotely with the NEC NP Series
Using the Windows Remote Desktop Control application, a presentation can be conveniently called up with the new NP series far away from the actual data source. For example, in the neighbouring office or even in another country or city – through the NP series’ Ethernet connection, the data is transferred to the projector and the presenter accesses their presentation “remotely”. Thus, data located on the home office server can also be accessed. The Picture-In-Picture function (PIP) allows two parallel signal sources to be displayed, so that a second image/video can be superimposed on the ongoing presentation; for example, the image from a surveillance camera or another second image source can be superimposed. The PiP function can be conveniently controlled via the remote control.
HQV(tm) for Perfect Image Reproduction and Connection Variety
The new Silicon Optix chip used in the NEC NP1150/2150/3150 supports HQV(tm) (Hollywood Quality Video) and thus achieves the highest video quality thanks to maximised noise reduction. In addition, still images receive increased depth of field, which considerably improves image quality.
The new NEC projector series serves the connection variety required for professional applications with, among other things, an RJ45 LAN port for integration into a network and a DVI-I connection with HDCP for digital signals. In addition, the devices can be operated with existing NEC lenses from the NEC NP1000/2000 series.
Availability, Price and Warranty
The NEC NP1150, NP2150 and NP3150 are available in shops from December 2007 at a price of 3,199.- euros, 3,799.- euros and 4,699.- euros. NEC Display Solutions Europe grants a three-year warranty with free Europe-wide on-site service, which NEC Display Solutions generally promises to handle for the next working day.
