This year, the Berlin student team Red Horizon prevailed against the competition in the contest for the Gamesload Newcomer Award with the simulation game “ABM”.

The eight Games Academy graduates convinced the jury with their graduation project, a cheerful simulation-arcade mix in which the aim is to direct a troop of workers on a construction site.

Rector Thomas Dlugaiczyk says: “The recognition of Games Academy and the student projects by the games industry is an important milestone for us as an institution. Above all, I thank the lecturers, the team, the students and the graduates for their commitment so far and their support in training. And I thank the German Developer Award for this honour.”

“I am overjoyed that the games industry recognises how important the education of young people is.” adds Andreas Stock, Managing Partner.
