The Dortmund native began his career as an officer in the Bundeswehr, where he studied economics and organizational sciences at the Bundeswehr University in Hamburg. His path then led via XEROX and Network Associates to Integralis, where he worked as a product manager for five years. In 2004, Diekmann joined Kaspersky Lab as Channel Sales Manager. During his time at Kaspersky Lab, Diekmann expanded the sales landscape and made the company, which has a purely indirect sales model, a reliable partner for resellers and customers.

“I am taking over from Andreas Lamm the management of a company that is excellently positioned and has the best prospects for the future,” Diekmann explains. “Kaspersky Lab has undergone breathtaking development in recent years, and the task is to continue the upward trend. We want to expand our market leadership in the retail market and advance into the top three in the enterprise market.”
