As part of the “Consumer Gaming Customer Campaign”, the search was for the “coolest and best Gaming PC in all of Germany”. As an additional incentive for the participants, each of the three main winners was offered a one-week trip to Las Vegas for the Consumer Elektronic Show (CES) – including flight and accommodation at the Hotel Excalibur. CES takes place from January 07 to January 10, 2008.
The PIRANHA 4 Gaming “Extreme Edition” achieved the honourable second place by scoring particularly well on the following criteria: The sound impressed, the system has 2×1024 MB DDR2 PC1000 working memory, its original water cooling made it stand out positively, and it received a “nostalgia point” for the integrated drive. The LEO gamer only had to concede defeat to the PC from BUG Computer Components AG – even though the decision was extremely close. The jury, consisting of PC gamers and employees of Microsoft Deutschland GmbH, tested the PCs thoroughly – with both the performance of the PCs and the unusual nature of the construction (case) being decisive.
The participation requirements were series production (at least five PCs), pre-installation of the Windows Vista™ Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate operating system, and promotion of the PC series by the manufacturer.
In addition to this award, LEO is delighted that the trip won to CES will bring the latest trends in consumer electronics directly from the glittering metropolis of entertainment – Las Vegas – to the Ortenau.
LEO boss Torsten Duffner: “It already became apparent at this year’s IFA and Games Convention that our PIRANHA 4 Gaming “Extreme Edition” would inspire the gaming community. With this award, we now have official confirmation of the power of our system and will also become more active in this segment in the coming year.”
