The PCTV Nano Stick has an extremely compact design and is equipped with the latest DVB-T reception technology, making it ideal for owners of portable playback devices who want to watch television programmes with those devices, for enthusiastic high-tech users who place great value on design and ease of use, and for television fans who do not want to miss an episode of their favourite series.
“Pinnacle’s PCTV Nano Stick is a real gem as a USB DVB-T reception device,” said Tanguy Leborgne, Vice President Worldwide Marketing at Pinnacle Systems. “Its incredibly small ‘nano-format’ design makes it ideal for today’s laptops and compact desktops. Thanks to the latest DVB-T reception technology, it receives digital television even when the signal is weak.”
The ultra-compact, stylish and easy-to-use DVB-T stick
With the PCTV Nano Stick tuner, any PC owner can watch and record digital television. The stick is very easy to set up and operate; no technical knowledge is required. Users simply connect the tuner to their PC’s USB port and the supplied antenna. It is powered by the computer, so no external power supply is needed. The PVTV Nano Stick is also compatible with computers running Windows Media Center. A mini remote control ensures viewing comfort even from a greater distance.
After installing the intuitive Pinnacle TV Center Pro software, users can start watching television immediately. Pinnacle TV Center Pro lets them time-shift live television and record programmes. The time-shifting function lets viewers pause and rewind live broadcasts. Television programmes can also be recorded to the computer’s hard drive in MPEG-1/-2 and DivX quality or directly to DVD for playback on an ordinary DVD player. In addition, the PCTV Nano Stick makes it possible to time-shift and record free-to-air HDTV programmes in MPEG-2 and the new MPEG-4 H.264 (AVC) standard, which is being introduced for DVB-T broadcasts in various European countries.
