Change in Adobe management

Adobe Systems has appointed Stephan Van Herck Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in London, Van Herck will advance Adobe’s customer focus throughout the EMEA region and manage the company’s growth in all areas.

“Stephan’s knowledge and experience are an ideal fit for Adobe,” said Matt Thompson, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Field Operations at Adobe. “His intimate understanding of regional customer needs, his extensive experience in selling enterprise solutions and his far-reaching expertise in developing new business will help continue Adobe’s ongoing success in the EMEA region.”

Before joining Adobe, Van Herck was Vice President IBM Enterprise Content Management for EMEA and made a decisive contribution to the successful integration of FileNet after IBM bought the company. Before FileNet was acquired by IBM, he was Senior Vice President of FileNet EMEA Operations. Van Herck also held management positions at Wang Software and Eastman Kodak and led a number of European companies as CEO. He holds a Masters Degree in computer science from Belgium’s University of Louvain-La-Neuve.

Fritz Fleischmann, who successfully managed sales in the EMEA region during the transition period, will continue his duties as Senior Managing Director of the EMEA Central Sales Region.
