Sparta, sometime A.D., the great penguin conqueror and leader of Sparta, Leonidas (Sean Maguire), must go to war against the overwhelming army of Persian King Xerxes (Ken Davitian). Although not all 300 brave warriors of Sparta have time for this dangerous mission, 13 muscle-bound sandal heroes stand behind Leonidas instead. And the opponent waiting for them is formidable, as quite a few legendary superheroes of modern times cavort among the Persian ranks: from Ghost Rider and Rocky to the Transformers. And while the men risk their hot loins, Queen Margo (Carmen Electra) joins in with the Spartan male plenary session …
MEET THE SPARTANS stands in the tradition of so-called spoof films such as ‘Scary Movie’ or ‘Austin Powers’, which make fun of everything currently fashionable in cinema or that has offered itself up to be shot down. Thus, not only cinema highlights such as Borat, Spider-Man and 300 get their share, but also esteemed personalities such as Britney, Paris and Lindsay.
Also joining the hot action are Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Andromeda) and Carmen Electra (Starsky & Hutch, Scary Movie), among others.
