Five European network operators already use TietoEnator’s mobile-TV solution in various countries. TietoEnator’s mobile-TV solution is a complete platform for network operators, content providers and television broadcasters to provide TV and video services over mobile networks. The services can be used with a broad range of devices, as the solution includes mobile terminal applications for both Symbian- and Java-capable devices. The functions of this ‘next generation’ mobile-TV and video solution include live TV programmes and playlists, video on demand (VoD) and proprietary content, an easy-to-use electronic programme guide (EPG), as well as e-commerce and interactive value-added services. The solution allows advertising to be integrated easily into mobile-TV services and is compatible with TietoEnator’s end-to-end solutio for mobile advertising. The mobile-TV system is also available as a ‘Fully Managed Service’.
