The video splitter has inputs for two different sources, such as a computer and any type of media player.
Content can be output digitally or analogically to any number of displays with different image areas, resolutions and bezel sizes. The Flexible DVI Video Splitter enlarges images across multiple screens arranged in any combination. It compensates for bezels between displays to avoid distortion or jumps, and can enlarge only part of a video signal instead of the complete image.
“Our digital-signage solution provides real-time communication,” said Axel Bürger, managing director of Black Box Deutschland GmbH. “Multimedia content can be changed at any time and then distributed. Information reaches the recipient immediately without loss of image or sound quality.” Applications range from industrial process monitoring and information boards in entrance halls or stations to video presentations at exhibitions and trade fairs.
The Flexible DVI Video Splitter can be expanded at any time by connecting and positioning additional displays. It supports almost all video modes, including HDTV resolutions. The scalable hardware-based system requires no software or PC. Bürger said an individual failed display in an installation can be replaced with another screen, allowing the application to resume operation.
