Since October, TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH has thoroughly tested the quality of the software
using a test catalogue. The catalogue is based
on standards such as ISO IEC 12119 for software functionality and the
German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB). The most frequently used
assemblies were examined, including reinforced-concrete walls,
masonry walls, drywall, ceilings, columns, windows, doors and
finishing surfaces. In addition, important assemblies included in Allplan IBD 2008
were also tested.
Allplan IBD 2008 is a component of the
Design2Cost cost-planning method. This consists of Allplan
BIM, Allplan BCM (Building Cost Management) and the Allplan
IBD (IntelligentBuildingData) construction database. Architects, civil engineers and contractors
can use it to determine quantities and costs quickly, reliably and in accordance with VOB.
For both the graphical quantity-calculation assemblies and
Allplan IBD 2008, TÜV SÜD found: “The requirements for software quality that are to be
placed on functionality and the underlying system
are met by the present
software version.” Nemetschek Allplan has now received confirmation for the coveted certificate
for the third time – as the only
company in the industry.
Michael Kießling, Business Manager Cost Management at the Munich
software company, emphasises: “The renewed TÜV SÜD certification confirms
the high practical suitability of our solution. This makes us the clear
pioneer when it comes to efficient, software-supported quantity and
cost calculation.”
