CeBIT 2008: Online video library maxdome comes to Microsoft Windows Vista Media Center

From CeBIT 2008, the online video library maxdome will for the first time also be available as an attractive entertainment highlight through Microsoft Windows Vista Media Center. Its users can therefore directly access more than 10,000 titles from Germany’s largest online video library, including feature films, TV highlights, series, sport, documentaries and music concerts, and watch them via DSL on a PC or television.

Innovative navigation design in cooperation with Pixelpark

maxdome is used in Windows Vista Media Center through a newly designed, particularly user-friendly interface optimised for television. The video shop’s design, developed by Berlin agency Pixelpark together with SevenSenses, allows access to all titles and information in just a few steps by remote control through central carousel navigation with video covers. Microsoft is showing the Vista version of maxdome, created as part of a partner solution, in the “CeBIT 2008 Consumer World” at Microsoft stand A26 in Hall 4.

Dr. Dirk Kleine, Managing Director of SevenSenses GmbH: “With the Vista partner application and integration into Microsoft Windows Media Center, we are opening up a new, direct route for users into maxdome’s extensive video world, whose innovative design enables exceptionally simple navigation. Use on a television set in particular thus becomes even more natural and pleasant.”
