The iF product design award is an internationally recognized distinction whose winners are selected not only for design but also for criteria including functionality, environmental compatibility, usability, and innovation. This is the first time Sanyo has received an iF product design award.
In Japan, eneloop received a Gold Award in the 2006 Good Design Awards, while the eneloop Solar Charger received the Grand Award in the 2007 Good Design Awards as part of the eneloop product range.
Sanyo says the award demonstrates international recognition of its product concepts and designs based on the environmentally conscious Think GAIA vision.
