The conference on the visualisation of information will once again show the latest approaches emerging in industries such as design, art, multimedia and architecture to address today’s complexity and flood of information and turn them into usable knowledge.
Speakers include Ben Fry, designer and inventor of ‘Processing’, who will present his recently published book ‘Visualizing Data’. New York performance artist Zachary Lieberman will also take part, attempting to reinterpret sound, movement and human behaviour through visualisation. Bruce Sterling, science-fiction author and founder of cyberpunk, will address the question of whether visualisation can sometimes be more useful than reality.
A day ticket costs 70 EUR; reduced admission for students is 40 EUR.
