dioVision is now auctioning the rights to dioVision play for the national Chinese market. dioVision play is a completely new and flexible display technology in which the presentation surface “lives”. In conjunction with
LCD, SED and OLED developments, partial and interconnected LED panels
or projection technology, dioVision play turns mobile phones, navigation devices, monitors, TVs and advertising displays into actively controllable elements. The position of the image surface can be adjusted continuously, for example to create spatial depth (similar to 3D,
stereoscopy) or allow adaptation to different lighting conditions. dioVision is now auctioning the rights to dioVision play for China’s mass market until March 28, 2008, with an opening bid of of three million euros.
dioVison play enables stage, panorama, window and room effects with reality simulation. The screen aligns itself with the viewer. Alongside the familiar flat viewing format, dioVision play allows many other presentations in a single device. The range of displays extends from a convexly curved image through a flat image tilted forwards or backwards, aligned to the right or left or upwards or downwards, to a dimmed presentation and a concave image curved inwards. Mixed forms are also possible. Advertising messages can, for example, move dynamically into the foreground or actively follow the viewer. During the granting of patent rights, 28 individual claims were recognised as entirely new and inventive, and their industrial applicability was documented.
