Under the European Union’s MEDIA program, BEWEGTE BILDER Digital Cinema will work with Belgian company XDC as an additional partner of Cologne-based reelport GmbH to scan classic 35 mm films and digitize, or master, them in DCI-compliant JPEG 2000 format.
BEWEGTE BILDER will restore historic film material, including scanning, retouching, and color correction. The company will also supply European cinemas with digital copies in the JPEG 2000 D-Cinema format and provide E-Cinema versions and Blu-ray Discs.
