In addition to tailored products for small and medium-sized businesses, this provides for approaching resellers in the SME sector, extensive marketing activities and an expansion of the field sales force.

“There are well over 20,000 dealers in the German-speaking region who look after the IT needs of small and medium-sized companies. We want to work with these resellers as partners to win the ‘doctor’s practice, tax adviser and carpentry workshop next door’ as our customers,” says Axel Diekmann, Managing Director Kaspersky Lab Central Europe. “To this end, we will expand our product portfolio with suitable products and strengthen our field sales teams this year.”

As a first measure to specifically protect companies with two to 50 user PCs against malware, phishing, hacker attacks and spam, the company is expanding its Kaspersky Open Space Security business product line. This is a product bundle comprising five licences for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Workstation and one licence for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Fileserver. The bundle can be expanded with additional workstations in increments of five and will be offered from April through retailers as a boxed version and via http://www.kaspersky.de online. The price of the standard version is 249 euros, while extensions of five workstation licences cost 199 euros.
