Insolvency administrator Sebastian Laboga, a Berlin partner at national insolvency-administration firm KÜBLER, and Studio Babelsberg have jointly found a solution for students at the German Film School for Digital Production in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
Studio Babelsberg has founded a private film school in Potsdam-Babelsberg and will acquire the German Film School’s intangible assets and parts of its fixed assets for the new institution.
If everything proceeds as planned, teaching will begin on 1 April 2008. The solution gives the sixty German Film School students in their first through fifth semesters, who were particularly affected by the closure, an opportunity to continue their studies at the newly founded film school in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
