This generation of systems is Internet-based and can be administered and monitored from anywhere in the world.
The modularity of the systems allows them to be adapted to different needs, and playlist creation also permits last-minute programme changes, such as inserting new commercials.
Depending on requirements, the systems can be set up as a locally installed multichannel system (for example for hotels or restaurants) or as Internet radio (for large retail chains).
PWsoft offers its Moodmixer systems with full service or for self-administration, as technology alone or including content.
The customer decides how much input to provide themselves or how much service they want.
Even without constant Internet access, it can automatically generate complex playlists in nonstop mode from daily and weekly schedules with different pools of tracks, advertising and programmes according to your specifications.
At the same time, the software enables on-site interaction with automated operation, such as manually inserting a track(for example at a guest’s request in a bar) or preprogrammed sequences.
Moodmixer Web-Admin allows customer channels, the playback software and connected applications to be monitored. Remote control allows the playback software to be started or stopped and settings such as volume to be changed without direct access to the playback PC or server.
An offline application, Moodmixer-Channelmanager, for managing music channels and time-of-day/weekly scheduling connects at the press of a button to an Internet service from which new playback information is supplied to the playback software.
The physical delivery of new tracks is also fully automated.
The actual playback system (Moodmixer-Player) can be installed for up to 4 audio channels on a standard Windows PC or server with a multichannel sound card. Connection to the Moodmixer Internet services is via the broadband connection.
As an alternative to analogue audio distribution, the music can also be distributed over an in-house network, with PCs, laptops or small Internet radio receivers serving as receivers.
Configured as Internet radio, the Moodmixer system enables controlled and reliable delivery of nonstop audio programmes worldwide to an unlimited number of branches. Small Internet radio receivers, for example from Streamit, can then receive the programme in the branches and bridge interruptions when the Internet connection fails.
Together with major streaming hosts, PWsoft offers complete solutions here, including rollout and 24/7 support.
Companies without an Internet connection can purchase the Moodmixer-Player with the corresponding control files- playback is still generated dynamically; only monitoring over the Internet is omitted. On request, the Moodmixer-Channelmanager administration software can be supplied for self-administration, or PWsoft can update the control files regularly.
