CID the Dummy will be released in the second quarter for Wii, PSP, PS2, PC and DS.
In the near future, human irresponsibility knows no limits, so products are always subjected to extensive safety tests. This creates a lucrative business for crash-test dummy CID, who risks his plastic body and artificial life day after day. But CID feels destined for greater things. When brilliant but eccentric Professor B.M. Werken attempts to revive his deceased daughter M.I.A. and his partner D-Troit becomes a supervillain, CID’s moment arrives. He can finally prove to himself and the world that a crash-test dummy can dish out punishment as well as take it.
Equipped with emotions and distinctive abilities, CID sets out on an adventurous rescue mission. It takes the player through more than 20 levels in cemeteries, military bases and sewers, where CID confronts enemies and obstacles with his whole body. The crash-test dummy jumps across chasms and pits, slips past surveillance cameras and literally breaks through walls with his head. Alongside his head and fists, CID primarily relies on a special bazooka to fight unusual opponents including skeleton and zombie dummies. Depending on the power-up collected, the plastic weapon fires rubber projectiles or emits flames and icy mist. The bazooka is also used to solve puzzles.
In addition to the story mode, players can subject an Italian luxury car to crash tests in three bonus levels. The goal is to smash the car spectacularly into walls at high speed to unlock additional game content.
CID the Dummy combines skill-based tasks and combat with a humorous presentation.
The game promises the following features:
Varied gameplay combining skill-based tasks, combat and puzzles
20 story missions
A special bazooka for combat and puzzle-solving with different ammunition types
A humorous story about an unusual hero and numerous eccentric characters
Crash-test bonus levels in which players test an Italian luxury car’s road safety
