With update 1.5, Ubisoft and its studio Blue Byte are releasing the Vegetarian Edition and further additional content. The update also brings improvements to the map editor and game optimisations (bug fixes). Alongside the Vegetarian Edition, players also receive two further single-player maps (“The Great Divide” and “Midwinter Festival”).
With the Vegetarian Edition, the core gameplay principle of Vegetarian Edition can be played in a vegetarian way. On the new vegetarian map, knight Hakim returns to his father’s land. There, he discovers that the Red Prince intends to weaken the population with poisoned meat. Hakim wants to help and to save the land from chaos. His most effective means are medicine and a change in food production.
With the completely new map (“Last Ressort”), the food economy is switched to a lacto- or ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet. Since there is neither meat nor fish on the map, it will not be possible to equip the town with a butcher, a fishery or a smokehouse.
At the end of the special map, a game assessment shows how successfully the player was able to support the settlers economically with a vegetarian way of life. The so-called “Vegetarian Rating” is also available in the final statistics of the other maps.
The Vegetarian Edition is supported by smilefood — the vegetarian online shop for meat alternatives!
