Warsaw postproduction house Monternia.pl has integrated ProntoHD.2 into its pipeline. The facility uses the disk recorder for capture, conforming, and output, as well as a high-performance platform for high-end color correction and film finishing through integration with IRIDAS SpeedGrade DI. Monternia.pl says the DVS and IRIDAS combination substantially expands the services it can offer customers.
Within the pipeline, ProntoHD.2 captures image data that is processed and output in real time. The open DVS disk recorder allows the facility to integrate SpeedGrade DI grading and finishing into its workflow. Matching EDL and folder structures between ProntoHD.2 and IRIDAS software let colorists edit image material directly. The disk recorder’s video I/O allows captured footage to be processed immediately with SpeedGrade DI, avoiding lengthy copy operations and providing analog and digital output of processed material.
ProntoHD.2 targets demanding commercial productions, broadcast projects, and feature-film postproduction. It supports real-time image processing and compressed and uncompressed formats from SD through HD. As an open system, it interoperates with third-party products, as does the CLIPSTER DI workstation.
SpeedGrade DI from Munich-based IRIDAS is a nondestructive grading application providing primary and secondary color correction, conforming, effects, and a complete set of film-finishing tools.
Monternia’s core expertise is editing, and the Warsaw facility has established itself through years of experience.
