Alienware and Ascaron Seal Partnership

Alienware is supplying its desktop systems for development of the action role-playing game Sacred 2 – Fallen Angel.

ASCARON, a leading German manufacturer and developer of game software, today announced a partnership with Alienware, a manufacturer of high-performance desktop and notebook systems. Under the partnership, Alienware will provide several systems to the developers of the action role-playing game SACRED 2 – Fallen Angel. The first live impressions of the game can be seen on Alienware systems at this year’s Hobbytronic in Dortmund from 16 to 20 April 2008. The development partnership includes supplying high-end computers used to develop and test SACRED 2 – Fallen Angel. This is intended to ensure high product quality at release. Hobbytronic visitors will also be able to test the anticipated action role-playing game well before release. A 120-square-meter booth will be available to SACRED fans, where multiplayer matches with up to 16 players can be held. Visitors can test PVE, cooperative, and PVP modes extensively.

Christian Wolff, Alienware Marketing Manager for DACH, said: “ASCARON is working hard to secure a leading position for SACRED 2 – Fallen Angel among action role-playing games. We are pleased to support the developers with Alienware desktop systems. The high-end machines will be used to develop and test SACRED 2, helping ensure that rendering the detailed 3D animations, especially characters, landscapes, and animation effects, does not cause agonizing loading times in the final game.”

“We are very pleased to have found Alienware as a cooperation partner. Adding Alienware to our development equipment alongside Dell systems significantly expands our range and contributes substantially to quality assurance,” said Heikotom Felde, Managing Director of ASCARON Entertainment GmbH.
