Integrating Anti-Spam Engine 3.0 has significantly increased the productivity, stability and detection rate of the spam protection. Since the processing of incoming. emails has been effectively improved, Kaspersky Mail Gateway 5.6 also noticeably conserves system resources. Administration has also been expanded and made more flexible.
Kaspersky Mail Gateway 5.6 secures a company’s mail server on Linux and Unix systems against unauthorised use and reliably protects against spam and malware. The program also acts as a fully fledged router for email traffic on the Linux and FreeBSD operating systems.
The improvements brought by Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 also include a new system for analysing email subject lines and graphical attachments, as well as the use of the Urgent Detection System (UDS), which responds to the receipt of spam in real time.
Several other improvements are intended to make administration of the product more flexible and user-friendly. Among other things, Kaspersky Mail Gateway 5.6 allows individual settings to be specified for different user groups: for each group, the use of particular scanning methods can be independently switched on or off, and how messages are to be handled can be defined.
Thanks to an integrated mail router, installing and managing the product is kept simple even without experience of Linux/FreeBSD systems. The flexible administration system allows the application’s operating mode to be changed depending on the volume of email traffic and the security policy – from the highest possible system performance to maximum protection for users.
