NAB 2008: Focus Enhancements Presents Recording and Management Products

Focus Enhancements will show the FS-5, FS-100, and MM-1 Universal Media Manager at NABShow in Las Vegas.

The FS-5 is the new flagship for direct-to-edit recording. The small portable disk recorder supports direct recording in all common file formats and accepts wireless transmission of custom metadata while video is being recorded.

Focus is expanding its DTE disk-recorder line with a 250 GB version of the FS-100.

For digital signage, the company is showing the new MM-1 Universal Media Manager, a software solution for networked out-of-home systems.

The parent company of Schwentinental-based COMO Computer & Motion GmbH will also introduce new digital-video-processing products for media specialists at NABShow. “We want to show the international NABShow audience that our products cover the entire workflow of media professionals with unprecedented speed and efficiency,” said Norman Schlomka, Managing Director of Focus Enhancements’ European subsidiary. “Our products not only simplify the workflow from tapeless recording through digital processing and mixing to finishing, management, and distribution. Above all, they reduce the time and cost involved in creating media content.”

NABShow is the principal trade event of the US National Association of Broadcasters and primarily targets professional users. It is the world’s largest electronic-media convention and brings together more than 1,500 exhibitors and 100,000 media professionals from around the world each year.
